The State of the Chinese Cleantech Industry

As the global economy slowly clawed its way to recovery from
the financial crisis, China witnessed dramatic developments in
the cleantech industry. In 2010 cleantech investment in China
reached a record of $54.4 billion, a 39% increase compared
to 2009. The Chinese government’s increasing support for the
development of the domestic cleantech industry has created
a greater number of opportunities for Chinese and overseas
companies. Energy generation, transportation, recycling, energy
efficiency, energy storage and wastewater are expected to be the
next hot sectors. How will this industry continue to evolve and
what will be its influence on the Chinese marketplace? What can
be done to advance cleantech investment in China? This panel
will bring cleantech industry leaders, investors and technology
experts together share their thoughts on the cleantech landscape
of 2011 and the years to come.
